Created in 2015 and directed by Ole Kristian Tangen and Jesús Benzal, both with backgrounds from dance. The company is based between Norway and Spain. Artistically they are in a constant search to find a way to express everyday aspects of life in a theatrical way. Their choreographic work investigates different emotional feelings of the human being. The purpose of the artistic team is to find the essens in each of the individual artistic participant.

The starting point behind Tangen|Benzal's work usually begins by finding the meaning of each specific concept, and blending it together with a physical material. This analogy between movement and emotion guide them to find their personal way of expressing their work.

With their pieces they have accomplished being awarded in different choreographic competitions, nationals as well as international ones: Certamen Internacional de Coreografía Burgos / New York, Certamen Coreografico de Sabadell, Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid, amongst others. With the piece «Handle with care», they were nominated in the category «Best Dance Performance» in the award XXII Premios Max, in 2017 they were awarded first prize in Premi de Dansa de l'Institut del Teatre.

Tangen|Benzal has also done commissioned work for companies and institutions such as: South Bohemian Ballet, Szèkesfehèrvári Balle Szìnhaáz, Conservatorio Superior de Danza María de Ávila de Madrid, Danza 180º, Spin Off - Forstudium I Dans.

From the beginning they have been collaborated in different festivals and theaters: Grec Festival, Barcelona; Koreografilaboratoriet in Dansens Hus, Oslo; El Futuro es Ahora Festival in Teatro Central, Sevilla; Festival's La Mercé and Maldà Endansa, Barcelona; VII Encuentros de Creación - organized by Alternativ Network Theaters; I Laboratorio de Creación - Fundación SGAE; Encuentros Concentrados Festival; IN-Prescindibles Fest. and Nits dels Museus - Barcelona.
